Citizenship.

The most important right is voting. When we become US citizens, this is an important right. We are free to go to school, work,and travel anywhere.
The best thing about the US is education; the student go to school with finacial aid, all the parents don't need to be worried.
I came to the US from the Vietnam so I have a lot of different sounds in my language. For me, the most difficult parts about learning English are pronounciation and grammar.
The first Year,I came here,I didn' understand anything, and I was always worried. Today I go to school,I learn about being an American, and I am determined to keep trying.

Immigrant come to the United States.

Before 1975,my country had the war,everybody wanted to the United States for refugee.I had a lot friend came to America,most of them escaped from VietNam by boat,by land,someone was died cause broken boat and sea robber.This is disaster for my country.I don't like the war, I like to live in peace,friendly and freedom.Today,I married with an american citizen,and I immigrated to the United States,I 'm very lucky,I pray for everybody lived in peace ,happy,and successful in the future.

The custom in Vietnam.

In my country, when a baby is born,if the baby is a girl,their parents want the baby to have a body piercing such as earing piercing. When the baby grows up and she gets married, she has an earing piercing by their husband's parents, and they give her earrings,ring,and necklace .Before 2000, 35 percent of Vietnamese ages 18 to 50 have at least one body piercing. After 2000, 25 percent of Vietnamese have at least one body piercing.

I like freedom

To day is the end of week.We learn about Citizenship.There are a lot of rights important to us.Everyone living in the United States has basic rights.We are free to go to school,go to work,go to church,go to temple,travel to the world,and we can vote(don't have to pay to a vote).We are living in a country of freedom,and peace.We are very luckier than many other people

Hi! Teacher and everybody ,I 'm a new student .Yesterday ,I wrote several of sentenses ,I had a lot of mistake .Today ,Teacher fix my writing .During spring break ,I went to the library, I checked out three books and three C D. I read and listened everyday.I used the computers I practiced typing , and in the evening I watched T V. I spoke english language with my daughter and my son. I want to learn more english.
